Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mentor Walks?

Mentor Walks is a monthly event bringing together established leaders and emerging female leaders to connect, support, inspire and learn from one another. Mentors and mentees are invited to take a one hour walk and talk through their personal or professional successes, challenges and aspirations.

Who can participate?

Mentors and mentees are a diverse group from a variety of public and private sector backgrounds. Our mentors are leaders in their field and have an elite repertoire. Our Mentees are professional women from any discipline and of any age who are seeking career guidance. It is not a program for students.

We don’t like to be too bossy here, however, if you are a no-show to any event you have purchased a ticket for, you will drop to the bottom on the invitee list for future events.

Is this a ticketed event?

Walks are $25 per event, which contributes to the running of Mentor Walks.

Can I purchase a ticket to more than one event?

Yes, if your application is successful  you will be able to purchase a ticket to our walks up to 6 months in advance.

What should I prepare/bring with me on the day?

Our events are held outdoors, rain, hail or shine so be ready to embrace Mother Nature and comfortable walking shoes are a must. While this is an informal mentor program, smart casual may be best.

We also encourage our mentees to bring with them their one burning question to make the most of their one hour walk.

Can I choose my mentor or mentee?

Mentors and mentees will be grouped together by our team at Mentor Walks. You will find out who you have been grouped with at the start of each event.

Will my mentor continue to support me after the event?

Our events are a one off dialogue. Our mentors have no obligation to provide continued support after the event and mentees are welcomed to continue to join our events in the future.
